Fees and Policies
We offer a FREE initial consult (15-30 min) over the phone or in person to assess your needs and for you to determine whether we are the "right" fit for you.
Subsequent sessions are billed as follows:
The following fees are based on a 45-50-minute session. Longer sessions may be charged at a different price.
- Individual, Couples or Family Therapy Sessions $120
- Performance Enhancement- Sport Psychology $120
- Group Therapy Sessions $35-40
- Individualized Performance Profiles $500
- After-hours or emergency consults $150
In special instances we offer sliding scales based on demonstrated financial need. Please contact us directly to discuss your special circumstances. Do not let finances keep you away from achieving your highest potential.
FORMS OF PAYMENT
All clients are responsible for payment at the time of service. Checks, cash and credit cards are accepted.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you need to cancel your appointment, please call your individual clinician within 24 hrs prior to your appointment to avoid being charged the full fee for the appointment. In the event of an emergency late-cancellations will be assessed a $50 fee, and no-shows will be charged the full price of the missed appointment.
INSURANCE QUESTIONS
Choosing to bill therapy services through insurance is a personal choice with some benefits and drawbacks, so we can discuss whether this might be the right option for you. Given the nature of our health care system we believe that often insurance companies are guiding the therapy/services provided to clients, rather than clinicians making treatment decisions. This might influence what is covered or how many sessions you are allowed to have. Many people choose to pay for services out of pocket and/or bill their insurance directly, we can provide you with a receipt for your convenience.

Otherwise, this practice does not bill directly through other insurance of medical plans. We are however, able to provide a receipt for payments received so that you may initiate the reimbursement process privately through your insurance as an “out-of network” provider. After deductible is met, reimbursement is usually between 60 to 80% of the fee, but it is best for you to call and check with them directly, prior to your first appointment.
NON-PAYMENT POLICY
Accounts that remain unpaid after initial billing efforts, will be subject to collection. Synapse Counseling LLC reserves the right to seek legal action to collect any debt. We will make every attempt to work with individuals to repay their debt prior to sending account to collections.
