Fees and Policies

Your initial consultation allows you to meet us and get a feel for how we work, whether we will be able to help you, and what you can expect. This session does not commit you to subsequent sessions if either of us decide that we are not the best fit.

We offer a 25 min “phone screen/consultation” free of charge. Be aware that we will not be able to get into any depth during these screens and that if you take more time you may be charged for a full appointment.  Please let us know your preference when you contact us.


The First Session is billed as follows:

  • Intake Appointments (Initial Appointments) (90 mins) $250
  • Couples or Family Initial Evaluations (90 mins) $250
  • Nutritional Wellness Evaluation (60 min) $150
  • Coaching Intakes & Initial Coaching Consultations (90 mins): $250
  • Group Sessions vary- charged on a monthly rate. 
  • Individualized Performance Enhancement Profiles $600
  • After-hours or emergency consults $380 (Time will be charged on a pro-rated basis on this amount). 

Services will be billed on a monthly basis once we determine your level of engagement. We will discuss ongoing sessions and programs during our intake appointment. 

We will usually ask you for at least a 3-6 month commitment to ensure you are getting the result you desire. We can discuss this more in detail at the intake session.

Because we believe that integrative treatment is the best way to achieve the results that you are seeking support for, we are now offering a more program-based approach that integrates therapy/coaching, nutrition, yoga, groups and many other things.

These will be discussed and introduced to you after your Intake evaluation as these are based on the issues you are wanting to address. These will be billed on a monthly basis.

We do not take any medicare or medicaid clients. We apologize for the inconvenience.

All clients are responsible for payment at the time of service. Checks, cash and credit cards are accepted. You will be asked to provide a credit card on file to secure your appointments, but you may pay with checks or cash. Amex is NOT accepted.


If you need to cancel your appointment, please call your individual clinician within 24 hrs prior to your appointment to avoid being charged the full fee for the appointment. In the event of an emergency, late-cancellations will be assessed a $90.00 fee, and no-shows will be charged the full price of the missed appointment.


Choosing to bill therapy services through insurance is a personal choice with some benefits and drawbacks, so we can discuss whether this might be the right option for you. Given the nature of our health care system we believe that often insurance companies are guiding the therapy/services provided to clients, rather than clinicians making treatment decisions. This might influence what is covered or how many sessions you are allowed to have. Many people choose to pay for services out of pocket and/or bill their insurance directly, we can provide you with a receipt for your convenience.

We are an in-network provider for:

  • Poudre School District (EAS)

Please note that we bill this insurance as a courtesy to you. Should the insurance company deny to pay your claim or pay for services rendered the balance will be your responsibility.

Otherwise, this practice does not bill directly to any insurance or medical plans. Some clients choose to pay for their appointments through a flex or health spending account (HSA) We provide you a receipt for payments received so that you may initiate the reimbursement process privately through your insurance as an “out-of network” provider. After deductible is met, reimbursement is usually between 60 to 80% of the fee, but it is best for you to call and check with them directly, prior to your first appointment.


It is important to note that coaching services are typically not reimbursed by insurance. In spite of this, coaching is a highly effective and powerful way to achieve the targeted actions, and specific goals you have in regards to nutrition, wellness, fitness, happiness, peak performance, ADHD organization and management and business. Coaching is a NON-PATHOLOGIZING, and STRENGTHS-BASED APPROACH to dealing with many issues.  It is focused on the present and moving forward into the future with applied strategies. Accounts that remain unpaid after initial billing efforts, will be subject to collection. Synapse Counseling LLC reserves the right to seek legal action to collect any debt. We will make every attempt to work with individuals to repay their debt prior to sending account to collections.
